Basically, it boils down to, as Noam Chomsky so elegantly put it...

"...willfull and dedicated ignorance."

I'm a Reiki Master. For those of you who don't know what Reiki is, it's a Japanese method of chakra healing, using the energy of the whole earth to fascilitate healing, using the chakras in the human bodies as pathways. It worked wonders for me, and since becoming a healer myself, I've had numerous opportunities to help others, all of which have been wonderfully successful.

In a situation a lot like the one tyle described above, I've got a friend with cystic fibrosis. Different disease, same result - a lifetime of pain and disability, with no hope of a cure (outside of lung transplantation). Well, about a year ago, I offered to do Reiki on her. When I was done, she felt about as good and 'clean' as she's felt in years, and this lasted for several weeks. So I've kept doing it. And like above, no one else (including her husband) believes her or me.

More later, when I'm not rushed before work.
